"What is a 'barista'?" Teyla asks, sliding onto a stool at the bar.

"A fancy name for the bloke who makes the coffee," Ianto says, grinning.

Teyla nods, smiling. "I have not heard that before." Of course, the kind of coffee they get in Atlantis mostly doesn't require a barista. "I'll stick with tea, I believe."

"Certainly. What kind? Black, green, herbal?"

"Herbal, please," she says, smiling.

"How have you been, Ianto? It has been some time." Since before the baby, at least.

[likesthecoat]

"Herbal," he says with a nod and starts a pot of plain water boiling.

He smiles in his very quiet way. "I'm quite good.

"I noticed the, um. May I congratulate you?"

She glances down at her stomach and smiles. "You may, thank you."

"Congratulations. Boy or girl?"

"A boy. Very healthy and growing like a weed."

[likesthecoat]

"That's wonderful," Ianto says. "What do you call him?"

"Torren John," she says. "After my father and a friend."

"Torren," he repeats with pleasure. The possessor of an unusual name himself, he can appreciate them well. "I like that."

"Thank you. It seems to fit him so far."

[likesthecoat]

"What would you do if it didn't? Change it?"

[childofathos]

She laughs softly, considering this. "Perhaps. But only if it was a very bad fit indeed."

"It's probably quite good you didn't name him, I don't know, Egbert or something."
