Demeter sees Momiji and beams at him,
"Hello, Momiji, you look quite handsome."

The boy can't respond right away, because he's busy nomming on one of the cherries he's been given, the red stem poking out between his lips. But he does flush a bit and offer a gracious smile around it.
When he finally pulls the stem free, he just adds:
"Aww, thanks. Hi, Demeter."

"Should I start asking women their intentions when they say hello to you?"

"Huh? Why would you have to do that?"
His naivete's going to get a nice work-out, in the weeks to come.

"I don't think you have to worry about that."
And he just plucks one of his remaining cherries from the top of his milkshake, offering the cream-dotted fruit towards Demeter.
"Want a cherry?"

'Miji happily passes the cherry over to her, before finally starting in on the milkshake itself, leaving the last cherry for later. Before long, he's accidentally gained a little dab of cream on his lower lip.
"I didn't mean because of the Curse - girls just don't like me like that. I'm not like my cousin Yuki. He's always getting chased around."
He sounds more amused about this than anything else. Given the circumstances, it saves him a lot of headaches.

"Ooh, and I'm starting my next year of school in a day or two! I just got my new uniform and everything."
