"What are you doing?" it's a flat and empty voice. Attached to someone who makes her look tall.

She glides to a stop, or almost a stop, restless now that she's let herself off the chain a bit, so to speak.

"Enjoyin' t'day." She answers breezily, enough bounce and light and easiness to counter any flat and empty he chooses to project.

"If you don't know," She laughingly replies, muzzling the more bloodthirsty or frankly disturbing answers, "Then I cannot tell you. Does it matter? I won't force you t'join in."

Mary comes out of her greenhouse and watches Ace, head tilted a little.

Possibly she is making notes on how to improve her own endurance.

Well, you see, it's all very simple:
1) Show up somewhere that Cheetah People are hunting
2) Run into a Cheetah Person
3) Run away
4) Get caught, and dragged off to where-ever said Cheetahs are living
5) Get released so they can have more fun chasing you about
6) (and this one is important) Don't get caught again
7) Turn into a Cheetah Person.

It's worked wonders for Ace's endurance. That, and the secondary training program she went into a few decades later, which goes more along the lines of 'Fight Daleks, get killed by Daleks, get brought back to life by a London shop girl who's being backed by the power of one supremely pissed off TARDIS and realize that Vortex energy really isn't something one plays with'.

It's... a very unique training program. Ace only knows one other person who's done it.

Mary, who has a great amount of confidence in the value of dedication, hard work and steady exercise programs, would probably call this cheating. (If very energetic cheating.)

If it's cheating, it's a very counter-productive sort of cheating - the side effects are much worse than any benefits gained.

Most of the time, anyway.

She's been abusing her ability to cheat death quite a lot lately. Her brother's in a bit of trouble, see.
