It's after Christmas in her world and she is absolutely livid with a certain vexatious red-head.

Sure, a very deep part of her is both relieved ... and possibly a little glad that he's come back, but that doesn't mean he isn't a right git for leaving in the first place.

There is a red-head beside her but luckily not the one she's mad at. But one that would let her rant a bit.

"Ginny!" Hermione exclaims. "I didn't even see you."

She pauses.

"Actually, I didn't know you came here at all. Are you all right?"

Ginny nods slowly as she looks at her and blinks.

"Yeah, I'm okay what about you?"

"I've ... been better," she admits, doing her best to keep the bite out of her voice.

(It's not exactly easy.)

"I don't suppose you're from the same point in time as I am, are you?"

She knows what a git Ron is.

"I don't know where are you in time?" She asks softly .

"Well, it's just after Christmas, if I'm correct about the time at all," she says. "It's difficult to get any proper bearings on anything in the real world when you're trying to hide from all of it."

Ginny nods actually she's from just after that. "Yeah, I understand. How are you doing?"

Ah, well that's ... relatively good news. At least there won't need to be any witholding of information.

"Well, we're still on the run. It's been a really rather miserable week."

She pauses.

"And when are you from, then? Just so I know what to tell you and what not to tell you - if anything."

Ginny smiles. "I'm from just after Easter."

She almost said I'm at Auntie Mariuls but is scared that would cause issues.

It probably would cause issues, given what is happening on both sides of the timeline.

"Right." She nods, letting out a huff of breath. It's difficult not to ask her what happens next, if any of them get caught, if Hogwarts is still all right by that time - everything. But given that Ginny is still here, and still okay, she can only hope for the best. "Maybe it's best we don't speak of what's happening at home to avoid the time differences affecting what we say?"

"I think that would really really be for the best. I would hate to put you in any danger."

And she so badly wants to save them form Malfoy manor.

"Oh, likewise Ginny," she says. She takes the other girl's hands in hers and smiles.

"Otherwise, you're all right? Anything exciting happen in the bar?"

Ginny smiles as she looks around squeezing her hand. She almost tells about Mia and Draco but doesn't think that's wise.

"I met someone who's half squirrel half human."

Yeah. Hermione is aware of the whole Mia thing, but not the Draco part of it.

Wait till that news is revealed in it's proper time. She'll certainly get the shock of the century!

"Oh?" She raises an eyebrow. "Like an Animagus? But...not really?"

"Yeah, more like a centaur but squirrel not horse."

"How interesting," she remarks. A little strange, too. But she isn't in any position to judge.

"Born like that? Or simply became that way?"
