After obtaining dinner, X sets up her laptop and settles down at a corner table. She's got her Security badge pinned to her belt, but aside from the occasional look up at the various patrons, she seems fairly absorbed in the maps on her computer screen ( Read more... )

Cal himself is actually absorbed in a project today. He comes downstairs with a red folder in hand, gets a raktajino at the Bar, and takes a seat at a table, where he proceeds to open the folder and page through its contents, then spread them out. Ianto really did a fantastic job with the paperwork. Cal figures it's a good idea to memorize what it all says.

Not paying the slightest bit of attention to his surroundings, he doesn't notice X nearby.

X notices Cal.

She notices everybody.

But he looks busy.

That is why she stays where she is -- at least for now.

The thing about Cal and his attention span is that, unless what he's doing is especially fascinating or of vital importance, he tends to be easily distracted. Passing air molecules can do the trick.

The paperwork is both interesting and important to his future, so Cal lasts a good fifteen minutes before his attention starts to wander.

If he does look up, he'll probably cross gazes with X at some point.

It might just take a while.

Coreen notices the badge, and has to be disappointed in Security in regards to Boo's kidnapping, but pushes that aside for now. She sits down, still watching for any more signs of anyone needing her help, such as it is.

She orders a milkshake and pretzels.

"I'm sorry to bother you, but...can you get net here? How does that work?"

If Cruella and Boo were in the bar, X would be all over that. As it is, with no information and no sightings of either Cruella or Boo, so far as X knows, all anyone can do is wait.

X looks up from her computer, head tilting fractionally.

"I do not know."

Beat.

"It is important?"

Since Coreen's narration doesn't know how the BooNapping millitiming is, she'll not say anything, even though there has been a Creulla sighting, and nearly the need for at least 6 people to wind up in Baby.

If, that is, Security'd arrest them for beating the crap out of a kidnapper.

"Not overly. I just...miss the internet. I've been here for nearly three months now...I want to see what's going on back home, or anywhere really that doesn't involve news print."

"You do not like reading?"

Beat.

"Newspapers are useful. And reliable. Here. The internet is not."

X saves the files she'll need before she comes here. It's helpful.

[ooc: Security doesn't get involved unless they are wanted in a plot and their presence is specifically requested by plotters. It prevents plot-derailing.]
