As it happens, the Japanese celebrate Mother's Day at the same time that a whole bunch of other folks do.
Also as it happens, Momiji totally didn't notice the date, yesterday. Dern Milliways-time, messing with his mental calendar.
But, in any case, the blonde is seated at the Bar today, hunched over with a giant Crayola box to one side. There's a sheet of paper in front of him, on which he's drawing what are supposed to be carnations. (Judging from their off-kilter shapes and multicolor patterns, they are most likely mutant carnations.)
To his other side is a little sheet of printed instructions for folding paper fans.
It'll be summer before too long, after all. Everyone'll need something pretty to keep cool with!
