The front door opens softly and Ben Grimm comes flying through. Due to Providence, or some other force, he hits neither patron nor bar furniture as he lands and slides to a stop mere inches from Bar herself. In fact the buckskins he is wearing even protect the bar's floor from being so much as scuffed

Zatanna was going to go home, but the rather spectacular entrance of the orange man in leather makes her pause a moment. 'Just ignore it and go home' is the thought that she desperately tries to enforce.

She takes a few more steps, stops, then hangs her head and sighs before turning to face him with a slightly blank look "..... How about making that short story a little longer?"

Zatanna can't help but think 'Damn it. Just hope it's not rampaging demons or something. Why can't it ever be a normal problem?' She seems to forget, things like that ARE normal for her.

Ben stops short and looks down at Zatanna and here the narrator would like to note that he doesn't look farther than her face; Ben's spoken for and knows too many ladies who wear similar to what Zatanna's wearing who can, and have, given Ben a run for his money.

"Okay...umm...I had some sort problem wit' a time machine and now Davy Crockett and several of his friends are being attacked by an Allosaurus and her kids. Wanna help? I'm Ben by the way, Ben Grimm."

Zatanna blinks "Dinosaurs?" then sighs and mutters more to herself than him "Better than demons I suppose."

"... Why not." She gives him a sort of crooked grin "I'm Zatanna Zatara." She gives him a rather theatrical bow. "Mistress of magic."

Ben can't decide if he should return the bow or not so instead he says, "It's a pleasure an' I suppose I'm the Master of Clobberin'!"

Ben likes to think he's funny.

Zatanna can't help but snicker, she thinks it's kind of funny.

"So, how do you want to handle this?" She is mentally going over how to handle something that large. "And how many are we talking about here?"

"Well at this point, I've got two archers, Captain Kirk and the Mistress of Magic," Ben replies. "I'm beginin' ta feel sorry for the Allosauruses. We just wanna get them back to their own time so either we knock em out or trick em onto the platform of my time machine. It should be able to make a big enough field."

"I could try small lightning bolts, they should work like an over sized cattle prod." Zatanna pauses, looks at Ben, and then down at herself "Err.. Should I change into something else?"

Ben finally allows himself to look lower than her chin.

"That might not be a bad idea seein' as how it'll be the 19th century an' all. I know for a fact the guys in that fort are gonna talk about a Lady in a get up like that," Ben replies and then hastily adds, "Not that there's anythin' wrong wit' it or nothin'."

If orange rock could blush I do believe Ben's would be.

Zatanna grins and winks "I'll ask Bar for something." She wanders off to ask for a change of clothes, before heading out.

Ben covers his eyes and says, "Be right here."

Zatanna can't help but wonder if Bar has a rather strange sense of humor, and thinks This really isn't much better than her normal getup. Granted, she is still wearing her top hat and fishnets.

"I'm ready whenever. Meet you there?"

"Sounds like I plan," Ben agrees.
