There, a Devil.
Sitting at a table, looking around for someone, it seems.
No, she is not fidgety nervous at all, why? It is not like she has a date or something...

She spots Scarlet almost immediately, and tries to act almost nonchalant as she wanders over to the table.
But just seeing Scarlet makes her grin, and sort of makes every insecurity and every thing that bothers her just melt away.
"Scarlet," Gwen says in greeting.

"I'm good," Gwen says, which is mostly the truth, because when she's around Scarlet she does feel good. She sits down at the table, still holding Scarlet's hand. "It's nice to see you again."

Yes, she is joking and teasing and being very relaxed; it feels good.

"I think a funny story is the best way to start dinner," she says. She needs to laugh again.

"Oh, yes: After his ill-fated invasion of Russia in 1812, Napoleon, alarmed by unrest at home, left his army in the lurch and rushed back virtually unaccompanied. He shortly arrived at the river Neman, inquiring of the Russian ferryman if many French deserters had passed that way. 'No,' the man replied, 'you are the first'."

Of course, she's caught off guard by the date. But it is then that she remembers who Scarlet is, and that this may be her story to tell after all.
She keeps her mouth shut and leans forward, urging Scarlet with her eyes to continue.

Gwen's hands tighten gently around Scarlet's hands and she looks into her eyes and smiles back.

Just a brief lip-touch.

"You've had quite an interesting life," she says.

The Devil laughs softly, looking down as well while holding Gwen's hands. "I am old... very old. Have been seeing the silly things people do since the beginning."

"But he won't share his stories. It's exciting to meet someone who will."
