It's difficult to spot Saffron unless you're looking for her. Or unless you're looking for no one in particular and happen to glance her way

Jim is engrossed in Starfleet Intelligence reports and his coffee. Yes, he is aware that an attractive redhead is nearby, but somehow he really isn't taking note of her despite her looks.
To most people, the man sitting nearby would appear to only be studying the reports in his hand.
But Saffron is just as aware of his presence as he is of hers, and she inclines her head in his direction after her drink comes to her, hiding the quirk in her mouth with a sip from her glass.
Inara's ending up here a lot lately, and so far she hasn't minded it. She wandered outside for a moment (to check out the Spring again. It's beautiful) before heading back in for a drink.
It's when she realizes she's standing two stools down from Saffron that she stops and stares.
[OOC: I am on super-slowtime for the next couple of days, since I'm having difficulty with my internet connection and it's making tagging a serious hassle, but it has been entirely too long and it is time for me to wake Steven up. *g*]Steven had a theory that he was Bound so that his finger could heal
( ... )
[OOC: Sorry about that; wasn't kidding about the super-slowtime. Hopefully things will get better now, but don't think I've disappeared if you don't hear back for a bit.]
Fool Steven once, shame on him. Fool Steven twice, he'll stick his head in a simmering stock pot just to escape the shame.
"Sorry," he says. "Only had the one wallet. You can drop the act."
But if he hadn't known it was an act, he'd believe it, right? Because she is just that good, right?
He really, really needs to believe that.
Lucky for him, he does in fact seem to be right. He can barely spot the edges around the mask. She really is that good.

Takes her even less time to recognize who it is.
She mutters something under her breath (if Inara's close enough to overhear, she'll recognize it as a curse).

"I'm surprised this is our first time," she adds, her voice sickeningly sweet. "Meeting, of course."

Saffron ducks her head a little, red hair falling over one eye. "I suppose I should've asked, but I was so embarrassed about it.
"You won't hold it against me, will you?" she coos.
