The first time Rae had found her way here, she'd been told that patrons sometimes made use of the bar's kitchens. The second time she'd found herself here, she had just come in to work, with her mind already turning to the making of cinnamon rolls, muffins of all sorts, Hell's Angelfood, Killer Zebras, and everything else that was on the menu for that day.
After a few days here, she's finally given in. The rats of the kitchen had been kind enough to give her a corner of the kitchen and use of one of the ovens, as well as answering her questions about the location of ingredients, utensils, baking pans, muffin pans, cake pans, and an egg timer. The quality of the ingredients that were stocked was good enough to get Sunshine to ask where the bar got its supplies, but even the rats couldn't tell her.
(She would have liked to note down the chocolate supplier, especially, and see if the company operated in her world. The coffeehouse's supplier had gone under a month or so ago, and Sunshine still hadn't found another brand she liked as well.)
So, after a long, de-stressing afternoon of baking, there's a large tray of baked goods on the table at the end of one of the couches. There are cinnamon rolls, muffins of many kinds, pieces of rich, dense-looking chocolate cake drizzled with molten chocolate and dark chocolate shavings, and many other various kinds of baked goods.
Each of them is labeled:
Cinnamon Rolls: $1

Muffins: $.50
--(chocolate chip, strawberry, blueberry, oatmeal cinnamon, sweetcorn, cracked wheat and walnut)
Bitter Chocolate Death: $1.75
Hell's Angelfood: $1.75
Killer Zebras: $1.50
Banana Honey-Nutbread: $1.25
Maple Poundcake: $1.25
Feeling the rare, pleasant kind of tiredness break through her exhaustion, Sunshine has curled up with a book (Dark Blood Four) on the couch beside the tray.
