Sophie still hasn't quite gotten used to the idea of the bar appearing behind doors when she's with Eduard. She certainly isn't expecting it to appear behind her own cupboard door.

Ben's at the bar, omnipresent sketchbook and pencil on the bartop next to his hat.

There's a mug of coffee and a shot glass of whiskey, too, but he's not paying them much attention; he's content to observe the bar.

Which is why he's noticed the pretty girl's pretty smile more than a time or three.

"You got a secret that needs sharin' over there, miss?"

She's running a thumb over the inlaid butterfly design; when he speaks, she looks up and her hand drops to her lap almost naturally.

"I beg your pardon?" she asks, with an equally pretty -- but somewhat more reserved -- smile.
