Two mugs of cocoa slide their way onto the table-top.

This is followed by a bit of scramble and something of a flop and then, quickly enough, a pajama-clad little girl taking up some of the available booth-space next to her.

Good daughters know to bring offerings.

Happy purr! Particularly kitty pyros know how to cuddle.

Also, how to pull a slice of pizza onto a napkin and push it in front of good daughters.

Snuggles are heartily approved of.

And returned.

"H'lo, mum."

This may or may not be said around a bit of pizza. That (hypothetically, of course) may or may not be considered bad manners.

Spoon can handle manners. Ace handles not buggering up motherhood.

And not saying 'buggering up' where Cora can hear it.

"'Lo, kitlet."

Da' tends to curse about when he forgets not to curse. Cora thinks it's kind of funny, actually.

"Hate sleepin' on Bad Nights," she wrinkles her nose, swallowing first this time. "Least got no school tomorrow."

"You an' me both." Ace agrees, absent-mindedly forgetting that Cora isn't a kitten and she shouldn't be handed bits of pizza (or, rather, have bits dangled in front of her face). Oops?

"Least it's almost over, yeah?"

"Uh-huh."

She grins at the pizza-offerings - not minding how they are offered in the least - letting out a giggly sort of sound and munching cheerfully.

"Is very good to be over."

(Cora makes grammar-teachers cry.)

Grammar-teachers, in Ace's opinion, need a little loosening up. This applies, in her mind, to most teachers, actually.

It's possible the ex-delinquent is biased a tiny bit.

"Then maybe we can work on y'da an' us goin' someplace warm." Ace has had enough of this 'winter' thing. It's overrated.

"Like - like -" her hands flutter in the air in front of her, as if trying to manually sketch out what she's thinking of. "Like the ones with the funny trees?"

Palm trees are totally funny looking.

Ace tilts her head. (Whilst dangling a crispy broccoli bit in front of Cora's nose)

"Comedian trees?" She doesn't remember that trip at all. Odd.

[runs_with]

"With the -" she chews her broccoli thoughtfully, crinkling her nose and holding her fingers together before springing them away from each other. "Long leaves - swishy ones."

A pause.

"At the sandy places. With - um. Oceans?"

[nitro_is_ace]

"Palm trees!" Ace grins, ripping the crust off of her slice and munching on it. "Brilliant idea, kitlet."

[runs_with]

"Yes. Those!"

She giggles, claps her hands together victoriously.

Another laugh, "They are weird."

[nitro_is_ace]

"Oh dear. I've been sleepin' on the job. I've got t'get y'to a new level of weird."

Ace probably shouldn't come up with ideas whilst in this sort of mood.

"Okay!"

She (rather obviously) has no problem with this.

"Weird-levels are good."

Ace cracks up and pounce tickles her kitlet. Clearly she and Spoon are a horrible pair of influences.
