"Oh- hi, Tyler," says Ellen, looking up with a smile. "I'm all right. I've been back to Moira's and I'm going out again soon to look for mirelurks. Apparently they're giant mutant crab monsters, although she couldn't give me a picture of one. How are you?"

Doc's got a what appears to be a varied assortment of leather straps (reins, bridles, etc.) draped over his shoulder as he heads downstairs. Yesterday afternoon, he'd decided that the tack needed a good cleaning and polish so he took it upstairs to work on before bed.

Now that it's done, he's going to head out back and saddle up Nova for an afternoon's ride, but he spots Ellen first at the table, and tips his head politely in greeting.

(The black eye is fading away but there's still a bruise.)

"Howdy."

"I'm all right," says Ellen. "I got back to Megaton safe and sound, and I told Moira about the repellent stick actually killing molerats. She said I could keep it, since it didn't work the way she wanted it to. Now I'm going to go find the Anchorage War Memorial and see if I can sneak up on the mirelurks living there so we can plant an observer device in their eggs and see how to deal with them."
