It's not entirely the reaction Jenny expected. In fact, it's far from it. A kiss is a kiss and, if you ask her, doesn't mean nearly the same thing as staying up all hours of the night to be able to calm your boyfriend from any nightmare he might have.

So she blinks and reaches a hesitant hand out towards his. "Bart?"

Jenny gives his hand a gentle, firm squeeze. Quietly, "I didn't think it went against the rules. I just wanted to know."

Somehow, she's realised, it had been against the rules. So Jenny nods, closing her eyes and resting her head against his chest.

"Won't do it again. Got my answer and, anyway, it doesn't matter because no one else is you."

And girlfriend falls quiet, too. Jenny's told him the truth. It's bad timing. Bad everything, possibly, but she can't help her curiosity.

"Sorry," she whispers again, holding him until he tells her otherwise.
