Charlie....isn't himself today. After a slow morning, mostly occupied with cleaning and light but time consuming things like showering and deciding to face people, he came out, but bypassed the bar entirely in favor of the lake. It being a fairly grey day, the place was less than highly occupied, so he was alone as far as he could see, sitting ( Read more... )

Demeter is in a thoughtful mood as she walks outside, its far too cold but seeing Charlie makes her smile,

"Hello, Charlie, how are you doing?"

"Not the greatest." Charlie answers simply, with a light shrug and without looking up. "December isn't my best month." Mostly, because it centers around the holidays; the season he's fine with.

"You?"

She sits down on the ground next to him and gives him a hug,

"Winter's never easy."

He leans away from the hug, as much as he can. "Winter's not the problem." Being thoughtful and near Christmas is.

Oh, and did we mention being stuck in this place, still?

Guppy has been out getting some fresh air, and spots Charlie near the lake.

"You okay?" he asks gently, as he wanders over there.

"Oh, yeah." Charlie tosses out a smile as he looks up at Guppy. "Why wouldn't I be?"

He goes back to looking at the lake, and the occasional rabbit that sniffed around at the edge of the water.

Guppy sits down next to him. He doesn't want to be too forward, given they've only met once. But if Charlie's only been here a week or so and is Bound, chances are he doesn't know anyone that well.

"First time I got Bound, it really got to me." he says gently. "But far as I know, everyone gets out eventually."

"Yeah, that's what I'm told. It's not that bad, I'm supposing....at least it's not the worst thing that could happen." He smiled at Guppy, and though it failed to be entirely bright at least it was something.

"So, you're not, I'm assuming. Bound."

A short guy in a pair of blue leggings and a fur vest came traipsing out of the woods with a strange bunny held by the scruff of its neck. It had already been cleaned and was dripping a little blood still. No worries. He already had a small fire going on the lake shore all he had to do was skewer the thing and cook it. Of course he rummaged in pouches and pockets and managed to find a few dried spices that he placed on a flat rock nearby.

The bunny skinned and skewered and the cavity rubbed with spices and salt, the bunny was on the fire cooking.

He leaned back on the lake shore and finaly noticed the other guy.

"Hi," he said.

"Not yet." Charlie answers, still staring out at the lake. He'd really not been paying attention to anyone coming or going, or doing anything much outside of his tunneled field of vision.

He carefully ignored the obviously fresh....whatever it was, in favor of who was talking to him.

The Kender considered the answer, either this human was not paying attention or he could fly.

"Can you fly?" he asked.

Charlie laughs absently at that. "No, I can't...it's just a joke. In my world."
