Ben's in an overstuffed armchair near the fire, sketchbook balanced on one knee and a cup of coffee within easy reach.

He looks up and tips his head toward her.

"Miss."

"Evening," Kaylee returns -- and pauses, as she's about to sit in a nearby chair. "This one taken?"

He shakes his head.

"All yours, long as you want it."

She nods, and moves it a few inches closer to the fire before sitting in it, holding out her hands.
