Whistler turns in Suzi's direction and grins. "Pretty good, pretty good," he says. "The things they're getting up to with component miniaturization these days are amazing. It's gonna take me a week to get the hang of this. How about you?"
Suzi grins back and touches his cheek before scooting a chair next to him (so she's not in the way of his project), "I couldn't have done it without you."
And a brief interlude with flashy-thing when a proctor noticed the tentacles. >.>
"Ooo." Suzi considers that for a while, "Actually, now that I can own a business? I need a security system for it. Zed said he'd come look it over too, but you're obviously the first."
"Naturally." Whistler nods. "As a matter of fact, I kinda took the liberty of drawing up a few recommendations. It all depends on the scale we're talking about, of course."
The problem with writing proposals in Braille is that there's no way to make them look small and unobtrusive just before you hand them over and blow the recipient's socks off. You have to hand over a sheaf of thermoplast printouts as big as a book.
Still, it usually has its own sort of dramatic effect, so that's something, at least.
