[Life isn't fun for meteor freaks in Smallville. But sometimes,
cures may offer a hopeful future. After investigation, a
decision is made. But not everyone is
happy about it. And in the end, the right decision might've been the wrong one. Good thing Clark is around to
save the day.]
It's been a few days since Clark rescued her from Dr Knox. She's spent most of them at home, safe in her room. That cure had been within her grasp. She could've been normal, she could have gone on to live a normal life. Chloe Sullivan would have sacrificed anything for that.
Including the memories of those she loves, the reason for the recent hermitage.
How's she supposed to explain any of this to Riley or AC, let alone Clark?
When she walks into the bar, she isn't exactly her cheerful and inquisitive self. Getting a non-fat, no-foam latte, Chloe finds a booth in the back. She sets up her laptop and begins to work on apologies.
She'll figure out something to say. Eventually.
