The door to Milliways opens with a bang today as Brennan stalks in, face set, shoulders squared. It’s nothing compared to the force with which she slams the door behind her.
Booth is alive. And Brennan has never been so furious in her life.

He's jogging lightly, trying to catch her. "What the hell was that all about?"
And he's more out of breath than he'd like, having just been shot in the chest two weeks before.

Yeah. Booth might want to keep his distance for a little while longer.

She has just enough self restraint to avoid the area that had taken the bullet.
"Do. Not. Attempt to pacify me, Booth."
"Sweets never said a word to me. And neither did AD Mitchell."
"Why should they have had to? Clearly you recovered. You could have called."

"Besides, why would I call you if I thought you knew?"

That implies--nay, demands--a certain degree of trust.
"You should have called anyway. If I were pretending to be dead, I would have called you."
Safe threat. But still.

"If you were pretending to be dead, you'd know that you aren't supposed to be calling people. Even your partner. Especially your partner."

"And none of this addresses why you were pretending to be dead."
