Tanya is at the Bar again, cleaning her guns. Not like they really need cleaning, but it is a familiar exercise that helps keep her nerves in check.

The big mission is coming, making her understandably nervous. Disassemble. Clean. Check. Assemble.

She might need a distraction from it.

"Hey babe." Lucy slides into the seat next to Tanya. "Nice hardware." Her tone is joking, but she's worried. Pre-worrying, in fact.

Lucy brightens her day and Tanya kisses her lightly. "Just my old guns. People keep telling me I should use the caseless ammo new guns, but..." Her colts work as well and are very familiar.

"Stick with what works, that's what I say. Pity they can't be converted or something, though. Reloading can be a pain." She grins, remembering something. "Like that guy in the hangar on the rock. We got him mid-cartridge, didn't we?"

"Really?" You'd think the sun just rose in Lucy's head. "I'll hold you to that." Then she rolls her eyes. "By the way, Shari says hi."

She smiles brightly, nodding and wiping hands before hugging Lucy properly. "Yes, I mean it."

At the mention of Shari, she makes a face. "Ah. She is beautiful, but waaay too unhinged..."

Lucy clings a little to her. "And that was before the head trauma. Devon says she spends a lot of time staring into space..." she shakes her head. "Never mind. I don't want to talk about that particular crazy person. She just came to mind." That near-disastrous meet had been coming to mind fairly frequently.

She orders a drink, Irish coffee, offering Tanya whatever she likes.

"I support that feeling." Tanya will have tea. she did mention to Lucy she spent her months of solitude drinking way too much... not THAT much, but too frequently.

Lucy winces. "Stupid time stream. I still can't get my mind around that." She leans into Tanya. "I didn't mean to leave you. If I can figure out how, I won't ever let that happen again." She scowls around at the un-offending Bar.

"I know you did not do it on purpose." Tanya smiles. "I was worried something might have happened to you, I am just happy you are back." And that she has a future after the war.

"Back and here to stay for a while." Indeed, she's a bit shy about going home at all, but Scud is there. "Only thing I did was recruit a little. The new people are all so young. Or am I just getting older?" she grins self-deprecatingly.

"You are not old. And even if you DO become old, I will be there just as old, so it is all fine." She might be teasing, but Tanya would indeed enjoy retirement with her lovely evil genius girlfriend.

"I don't think I'll ever get a better offer than that." then she turns serious. "So you're coming back after this one too, right?" A gesture at the guns.

"I am coming back for you, Lucy." Tanya is serious, very much about, that. "Not going to leave you."

Unless, of course, something really bad happens. But we all know that, right?

"You couldn't use another person there to help out? I can be useful in a fight." They've been down this road before, but Lucy can't help it. She's new at being what breaks down to being a military wife.

"Not on this one. I will be too closely supervised to be able to sneak someone in. In the next, maybe, if I have more freedom to act?" She also worries about putting her girlfriend in danger.
