Esfir has, over the course of the past two months or so in Milliways, gotten into the habit of reading the newspapers of her world. Her world, with space stations and lunar bases and missions to Jupiter.
Well, two missions - one nine years ago, and the recent one that she is still keeping track off. Thank you, Dr Floyd, for your regular transmissions to Earth.
But when she recieves the newspaper today, she stops.
She puts her coffee down.
She rereads.
