Contrary to her host body's wishes, she has decided that French fries and a strawberry milkshake are an entirely appropriate dinner ( Read more... )

French fries and a strawberry milkshake.

This is bad manners, but Esfir really, really can't help but stare.

The fact that Wanderer is dipping the fries into the milkshake probably won't help matters, will it?

"Hello!" Wanderer greets the other young woman cheerfully. "Would you like a fry?"

Really, she has more than she strictly needs. Bar is very generous on the matter of French fries.

Esfir has actually been in situations where fries, dipped in milkshake or no, would be a fine dinner. It should be said, however, that this hasn't happened since World War II.

Still, she's been reading too much, eating not enough, and her stomach is informing her of this, loudly.

"By themselves?"

"If you like; dipping them into the milkshake isn't a prerequisite, though I have to recommend it."

Wanderer is still in the way-too-amused-by-food stage of being newly humanish, yes.

Tumnus is drinking tea nearby and looks over, the color of her drink is rather amazing,

"Excuse me, miss, what makes your drink look like that?"

"Strawberries, I would hope?"

Wanderer eyes her own drink with some uncertainty.

"Possibly artificial coloring."

"Oh strawberries are always tasty."

"I like them," Wanderer says, almost defiant in her declaration.

"Whoever thought of mixing them with frozen sweetened dairy product is a genius."

Fortunately for her Stitch already has his own beverage in the form of a mug of decaffeinated Kona coffee. Pay no attention to the slurping, ladies and germs.

Wanderer isn't especially prone to surprise at the discovery of fascinating new alien creatures.

ON the other hand, her current body is human, and is at least somewhat prone to squeals of delight at things which are considered cute. Hence her bright, excited grin as she addresses the slurping creature.

"Hello! Do you speak?"

The experiment blinks at the question and the tone, before protectively placing a hand over the top of his mug.

"Ih."

He scents the air in her direction... and blinks again.

Hmm.

Well, that...

Wasn't English, or any other language Wanderer remember. But the creature seems to have understood her at any rate.

"Er... hello? I won't steal your drink!" She's quick to assure the creature that she has no designs on his coffee whatsoever. "I've got my own, see?"

Which she's actually more than happy to share!
