Kyo has. . . a thing. It's like a pocket organizer, in that it has a touch screen, and like an ordinary game player in pretty much every other way.

He wishes he'd been more specific when he'd asked for a way to play video games.

But at least it's keeping him amused, which is all he really wanted.

Completely botherable.

Extremely.

Kyo flicked one of his ears, the hairs on the back of his neck raised.

That ear may be receiving some very very light, feather-light tickling.

It's halting, and it possibly sounds like Yrael's been learning from a book, but it's there. "[Hey, Kyo. How goes?]"

Kyo blinks, and turns. "Hey! That's Japanese."

Yrael beams!

"At least it was recognizable. I think I frightened Momiji the other day, while I was practicing."

Kyo snickered at that, and patted the barstool next to himself. "Momiji's just like that."

"Frightenable?" Yrael grins, taking the seat.

Bunnybunnybunnybunnybunnynomnomnom.

And all that jazz.

"I just thought it'd be useful, perhaps. I have English and French, but I wanted to add Japanese, too."

"[It's not easy, though,]" he admits.

"Yeah. Go figure."

He nods, setting his gameboy down. "Learning English is pretty hard, so I guess learning Japanese must be hard too."

He beams at the not'cat, ordering lunch. "Been keeping busy?"

"I have been!" he grins. "Been learning Japanese when I can, playing in New Orleans, and spending time here. My friend Jason came back after his door wouldn't open for over a year and a half. You'd like him, even if he is something of a bastard."

Fits right in, really.

"He's a werewolf from St. Louis. His only real flaw is that he thinks the couch belongs to him." As if.

"Bah." Kyo notes. "That's my couch."

He grins, his ears perky with amusement. This is how cat would play if they were human.

Speaking of cats, one of the feral ones that had been wandering around the bar hopped up between the two catmen. Kyo gave it a scritch and a sushi. "Where is St. Louis?"

"See, that's what he thinks, too. He can't get it into his head that everybody already knows the couch is mine," Yrael chuckles, rubbing under the feral visitor's chin.

"It's in Missouri, near the middle of the United States. If you went north from New Orleans a few hundred miles, you'd reach St. Louis."

"Where's your name on it?"

Though, as a cat, Yrael's name is pretty obvious, but Kyo knows that not everyone has keen feline smell.

"Oh. Is it a good place?" He idly scritches the cat, who is too busy nomming the sushi to be bothered at the moment.

"I don't actually know. I've never visited," he shrugs. "And my name's on the underside of it. Carved into one of the legs, really small."

Lies, all lies.

Kyo gives him a look that clearly says 'Uh huh, pull the other one'.

But he grabs a sushi and eats it, grinning again soon. "We should go there, then, sometime. Do you think Jason would take us with him?"

"Possibly. His Pack's been having some internal turmoil, lately, and they may not appreciate outsiders. I'll ask, though, to see if we could just visit to see the city."

"You could always come visit New Orleans." Eyebrow waggle.

"You keep saying that, and I keep saying yes. We could go today, if you want."

After all, neither of them have pressing appointments.
