Axel's mostly paying just enough attention to the people in-bar to register Nobody and not-Nobody. Most of his attention is turned inward, but there's just enough outside to give a nod to somebody he knows.

Ramirez may notice the distinct lack of head-to-toe black leather, and he may notice Axel's somewhat withdrawn state.

"You look like a Warden in Brazil."

There's the 'heavy grey cloak' thing, of course, but he's actually referencing the fact that South America is very much a Red Court stronghold.

"Someone out for your ass?" he asks bluntly.

"Some of my ex-superiors showed up here. It may or may not still be a problem." He shrugs a little.

"You need a place to stay, or is it worse than that?"

"I might," Axel replies. He has Ace's TARDIS to run to, but it never hurts to have more than one bolt-hole, and reaching the TARDIS means crossing through the outside, and while Xaldin has promised to back off (and Axel actually almost believes him), he's had no such word from Xigbar.

"Is your world connected?"

"The only thing my world is connected to is the Nevernever and I seriously doubt anybody will be going through there."

...it'd be absolute anathema to a Nobody. The Nevernever is everything and nothing, a constantly shifting reality where it's hard for real things to be real all the time, let alone something like a Nobody.

"Anybody without a heartbeat is going to face some trouble if they try anyway."

Axel nods slowly.

"I may have to take you up on your offer of someplace to hide then," he says. "At some point."

"I've had wackier people stay at my apartment," he told Axel with a faint grin.

"Anything I should know about your unwanted company?"

"Either of them could kick my ass alone," Axel admits, without any reservations; he knows what his limits are, and where he falls in the hierarchy of power.

"You know how I'm fire?" he asks.

He nodded. It's pretty elementary to someone who's gotten even part of a view with the Sight.

"One of them is Air. The other is Space."

"Air..."

That was one of his elements.

"And Space?"

That one he admitted to being a little nervous about.

"Yes," he says.
