There was a period of time in which Madolyn thought the door wouldn't come back, and it had all been a weird dream of some sort. A dream that didn't explain a lot of what had been carried back into her own world. Needless to say, there's a certain amount of relief on her face as she comes into Milliways today. Well, if anything, he might want to find somewhere comfier to sleep.
She taps his shoulder.

He turns to look at Chuck as quickly as he can, half-apologetic smile on his features.
"Hel-- hello. I'm terribly sorry, do you need this table?"
Reply
"Nope. I just thought you might want to find a bed to sleep in. It's a lot comfier than a booth."

Concern isn't something he's often on the receiving end of, and as a result he seems a little surprised, but pleasantly so.
"Thank you," Jekyll says, giving a small laugh. "I should.. I should be awake, anyway."
Then, putting out his hand, "Dr. Henry Jekyll, at your service."

"Right! I thought you looked familiar. It's been a while since I was last here, so I'm sort of reorienting myself." She takes his hand anyway. "I'm Charlotte - or Chuck, really."

"So what're those for?"

"A while ago, I -- I invented a potion that would, ah, split my personalities. The bad side and the good side. I hoped to do this as a way to get rid of the bad aspects of people entirely, but --"
Jekyll pauses, meeting her eyes.
"It didn't work in the way that I intended it to. You see, my body now houses two separate beings. There's me, the normal me, and there's -- there's Edward Hyde.
"He is, in a way, me, but he is -- he is much more. He's a monster. The embodiment of every single terrible thing about me. The potion allows him to take over the -- our physical form, but he's constantly in my thoughts, constantly --"
And even then, he can hear Hyde laughing, and he almost winces.
He's pretty sure the explanation was kind of shoddy.

It isn't shoddy so much as confusing for someone like Chuck who's never even heard of such a thing before (well, except for maybe in stories).
"That -" she pauses, finally admitting, "sounds terrible."
She glances towards the test-tubes again. "So you're trying to find a cure to ... get both of your personalities together again?"
