Gordon found a small biomechanical engineering textbook crammed between several more popular volumes in the library last night. (He's prone to using the Milliways library as a substitute for sleep.) He took one look at the contents and put the book back in favor of walking the lake until dawn. The subject's still on his mind, though, which is why there's a new notice pinned to the notice board:
Wanted: someone capable of repairing mechanical leg prostheses built with early twenty-first century Earth technology. The devices compensate for injuries that might be caused by falling or jumping long distances. I’m not sure if they can be removed. Please contact Gordon Freeman via the Bar if the possibility exists.
I have no access to my financial reserves at the moment. Alternate forms of payment will have to be arranged.
Thank you.
His name is signed at the bottom- and just in case a candidate spots the notice while he's in the Bar proper, Gordon adds the circled-lambda marking next to it before heading to a table to start tweaking his helmet's filtration capabilities again. It's something to do.
