Bill is missing Kate quite a bit, as the world knew he would, but he met the bear from the tv earlier and that made things better. Or at least more bearable. :D ( Read more... )

The cookies smell good and Tumnus comes over on quiet hooves,

"What flavor are they?"

"Lots." Is Bill's answer. Hey look! This guy has little goat feet.

"Hey, you got little goat feet." Said very cheerfully and with zero flail. "I like you're scarf."

"Yes, I'm a faun and thank you, my mother knitted it for me."

So Tumnus takes a cookie, the man does seem nice.

"Ain't a fawn a baby deer?" He asks, picking up another cookie for himself.

The assortment is large, Bill wasn't kidding when he said 'lots'. Chocolate chip is represented in many forms, chips, chunks, with nuts, with M&M's, and even with caramel. Other non-chocolatey cookies include peanut butter, oatmeal raisin and the mighty sugar cookie.

"You're mom's a good knitter." He comments. "Mine tried ta show me once but I never got the hang of it."

Tumnus is eating a peanut butter cookie and quite liking it,

"Yes, she was. No, a faun like Pan."

Hearing the past tense about the faun's mother Bill frowns a little, "Sorry that she's gone. Least you got that scarf from her."

Polishing off another cookie he thinks a moment and tries to remember who Pan is.

"Pan is...he's the one with the little flute thingy, right?"

"Ah. Gotcha." Bill nods.

He takes a drink and pushes the plate of cookies towards Tumnus, "Here, have some more."

"Thank you."

He sits down with a smile and starts eating,

"I'm a good baker, but best at bread and scones."

"You make banana bread?" Bill asks immediately. "I like banana bread."

"No, I've never had a banana to make it from."

"Bar can get ya a banana." He grins. "I can get you one from Bar. Is it just one you need or a bunch? I'll get you a bunch and then you can eat some too. You like bananas?"

Bill seems a bit eager about this banana bread idea.

"I'm not sure. I don't think there are bananas in Narnia."

"Narnia? That where you're from?" He asks, then sets down his cookie and offers his hand. "I'm Bill, from South Carolina. We have bananas but they don't grow there, we hafta ship 'em in."

"It's home." He smiles.

"I live in a small town so it's a pretty close knit community, everyone knows everyone. It's quiet. Lazy days an nights." Bill is quite fond of his town and it shows even when he hasn't been uplifted.

"What's it like in Narnia?"
