Boo is depressed.
She's been kind of down lately, since Kate left. Bill has helped some, but Boo can feel him missing Kate too, so it's not always so much of a comfort.
She's taken to sleeping in Kate's room instead of her booth Fairy Castle at night. She plays in her castle and is generally around it, but she doesn't sleep there, except for the occasional cat nap. At night she sleeps in Kate's room. She wants to be near Ted and Fred.
And, possibly most importantly, the bed smells like Kate.
The casual observer would see a small toddler laying on the floor in front of what looks (accurately) like a booth surrounded by plastic castle walls with blankets around it.
The observer who has met Boo well would notice that the toddler, who is usually bouncing around and making lots of noise, is unusually subdued.
The observer who knows Boo well will notice the sad look in her eyes, and the lack of glitter and Bill objects (excluding a small backpack).
The amazingly keen observer would notice that the fairy castle behind her is mostly empty, since Boo has carried the majority of its contents upstairs.
