Ben's out back by the lake today, stretched out beneath a tree near the lake's edge and fishing. His eyes are closed and you could mistake his fish calls for snoring but that's okay.

Totally botherable if you want to say "Hi", just don't scare the fish.

Knox, taking a walk, is reminded of the joke about where a 800 pound gorilla sleeps. The answer should be revised, he thinks, to "wherever he wants, assuming that Ben Grimm isn't there first."

He wonders if you should wake someone that big, no matter how friendly he is when awake.

Unfortunately for Ben, the fish (or whatever they are) in the lake don't care for such musings. The string tied to Ben's foot jerks and Ben is pulled into the lake so suddenly that he doesn't wake up until he's in the water.

Soon enough, however, he surfaces and, sputtering and gasping, he climbs back onto shore. "What the heck was that?!?!?"

"Errrr." He didn't expect that. "I think it was Moby Dick."

"Wha?" Ben says sagely. He hadn't seen Knox and thought he was alone. "Oh hey Knox, how ya doin'?"

Safely back on shore Ben turns to look at the lake, which now is as smooth as a mirror. "That was just freaky. Maybe I need a fishin' license after all?"

"I think a fish that big isn't going to care about any license." Knox looks out over the lake. "I hear there's all kinds of things out there. Squids, sharks, sea monsters.

"And I'm doing okay. How're you?"

"Ya, I think yer right. Heck I fish, or what ever that was, that big didn't care about the hook and line! I'm doin' pretty good." Ben says as he sits down. "Wait, sharks, sea monsters? That's a lake not the ocean."

"It's a weird lake. And there's a chunk that's ocean water, I think. Something to do with a pirate ship that you to be here." He was never clear about that. "Not that I ever fish. You don't fish in Gotham waters."

"There used ta be a pirate ship here? Does this place get any better?" Ben looks off to see if there is any hint of the ship left.

"You don't fish in New York waters either," Ben says though of course he used to when he was a kid.

"Figured as much. But I guess you must have found someplace that it's safe to fish. Or are you new at it?" which would explain the lack ofa rod and reel.

Ben looks down at his toe embarrassed.

"Yah, well to be honest, I hadn't come out here to fish originally. The idea struck me an' I thought it'd be fun to try the old Huckleberry Finn way. Guess it works," he says looking out at teh lake where he fell in.

"You have to be careful here. This place gets up to the oddest things. The stories I've heard..." None of which, he might note, have happened to him.
