River is settled on the floor of the bar, near the open lake door. She's barefoot and crosslegged, and the wall would be at her back if she weren't bent forward enough to rest her elbows comfortably on the floorboards. The breeze from outside lifts her hair slightly every so often, and ruffles the pages of the book she's reading.

She also has a purple pen, and the book is fast acquiring lots of marginalia and strike-outs.
