Cindy's outside, today.
She doesn't want to be here, really, but since she is, she might as well make the most of it.
Bar gave her a room key, and some changes of clothing. Winter outfits hardly make sense. So she has a black T-shirt and blue jeans. The shirt reads, "Don't piss me off, I'm running out of places to hide the bodies."It does suit, ( Read more... )

Max isn't really one for exercise for its own sake most of the time, but despite being a friend, any meeting with Lissar makes him frustrated. He's just not really equipped to deal with hot women who emit a subtle undercurrent of fear while he's around.

So running to burn frustration just seems the thing to do. He's stripped down to just a pair of light sweatpants and he's pushing himself pretty hard when he spots Cindy.

Now that's a sight that'll bring a grin to your face. At least it will if your Max. Though he hasn't seen her shirt yet.

Well, he doesn't have to worry about undercurrents of fear where Cindy's concerned.
She's just finished her setup for target practice. Hasn't seen Max yet, but
she IS paying attention to her surroundings so it doesn't take long.

"Well hello," he calls with a friendly leer grin.

"Hello yourself," she replies with a friendly smile that lacks some of his flirtatiousness, though it's sincere. Cindy's willing enough to give most people the benefit of the doubt, at first.
The leer grin doesn't bother her. She's not wearing a nun's habit, after all.

"Don't think I've seen you around before," Max says casually, toning his smile down (but only a bit).

"You're right," she answers. "I've only been here a day or two."

"Well, if you'll excuse me for saying so, it's a pleasure to have you here." No one's accused Max of being anything but shallow in a number of years.

"Naturally." Deadpan, but slightly spoiled by her lips twitching.

The glance she gives him is measuring, but also frankly appreciative. Cynic? sure, but that doesn't mean she's blind herself.

Max laughs, grinning broadly. "I like a woman who knows herself." He cocks his head, "I wasn't interrupting anything important, I hope?"

She chuckles. "Then you're definitely talking to the right woman, Mr...?"

"And no, just some practice." She motions toward the target. "Not that
crucial at present."

Max offers an exaggerated bow, "I am Antillar Maximus, but even I think that's too much to remember so please, call me 'Max'."

He twitches an eyebrow upwards, "And will you give me your name or will I simply have to refer to you as 'beautiful'?" Yeeeah... that's an amused and self-mocking grin on his face.

"You could, but more often I'm called Cindy." She smiles, holding out a hand.
"Glad I won't have to refer to you only as 'the resident hottie', though I'm sure I wouldn't be the first," gently teasing.

Max takes her hand and, with exaggerated gallantry, raises it to his lips. "Unfortunately," he says after a moment, "Not nearly enough people have eyes like yours: lovely and observant."

The gesture gets a wink from her, and she doesn't immediately extricate her hand from his.
"Charmer. But you know that too." She glances toward the target, shrugs, letting the plan go for now. "Are you bound here, too, Max?"

He grins at her accusation, but she's right, he does know.

"Not bound, but this place is far better than home. No good booze in the middle of a war, and no one who looks nearly as good as you do."

"Is it only looking you'd be interested in?" she asks, one eyebrow raised.
