When she returns from a quick trip to Bar, she's got a Ziploc bag full of graham crackers, a small dish of applesauce, a child-sized spoon, and yet another sippy cup full of juice that Boo can add to her growing collection.
Kate pauses by the booth fort as soon as she spots it.
The booth's seats are empty, so -
" ... Boo?" she asks, crouching down by the side of the table.

She's making a concerted effort not to adopt the patented Silly Voice most adults do when talking to a small child.

It seems to be her answer whenever an adult uses the word 'name' in a question.

"Are you hungry, Boo?"

She regroups and tries again.
"Graham crackers? Applesauce, maybe?"

The applesause is eaten with much enthusiam, which of course results in applesause being in her hair and over most of her shirt.
She's taking turns munching on two gram crackers (one in each hand) before she even stops to take a break and babble thanks in Kate's direction.

"What are we going to do with you, kiddo?" she half-laughs.
