When Lissar finally goes to the Bar and sets her laptop on it a note pops up. Notes, of course, are to be read.

This one asks her to Bartend...and she winces with amusement a little bit before saying, "Of course." and gliding behind the bar.

Bob hasn't seen Lissar since he was turned into an Autobot, and hasn't heard from her since she was sick with the flu. She looks healthy enough now.

"Hey, Lissar. What's processing?"

[lissla_lissar]

"If by that you mean what is happening, I would say that bartending is the answer. I have been asked to do so, and am pleased at it." Lissar states with a smile.

"There seems to be a lot of that happening lately," says Bob. "Dot's been roped into tending bar a couple of times, too. I'm honestly surprised she didn't apply to do it on a regular basis... So, other than that, what have you been up to lately?"

[lissla_lissar]

"Many things." Lissar admits, "Planning Ace's party, Halo competitions with my beloved, and working on our contingency planning in case of emergency."

[mend_and_defend]

"What kind of emergency?"

[lissla_lissar]

"Any kind." Lissar says, blinking, "There are many different things which need to be done no matter what sort of emergency may happen."

[mend_and_defend]

"...there are?" Bob blinks back. "Sorry, I guess my perspective's different--when there's an emergency in Mainframe, I'm usually the one out there making it not be an emergency anymore."

[lissla_lissar]

"Does no one give warning, then?" Lissar asks, "Does no one send word that there is trouble, and cover should be taken? Does no one prepare to care for the wounded, and comfort the bereaved?"

[mend_and_defend]

"That's what system alerts are for," says Bob with a puzzled frown. "Isn't it?"

[lissla_lissar]

"Not in the regular world." Lissar says, "People do that in the regular world."

[mend_and_defend]

"But... how do the people who do the warning know when something bad is coming?"

[lissla_lissar]

"We watch." Lissar states, "The Autobots watch, the military watches, we all watch."

[mend_and_defend]

"...and everybody else doesn't?" Bob is caught somewhere between 'WTF' and 'OMGBBQ.'

"Of course everyone does." Lissar says "But not everyone will notice every time. I am one who warns to be sure that everyone will be safe."

Bob has a hard time wrapping his head around this. When disaster strikes in Mainframe, it's generally of the sort that it's impossible not to notice.

"...well, good for you," he says finally.

[lissla_lissar]

"Thank you." Lissar says with amusement. Living life as it is, rather than as it should be, is an important thing to her.
