Case in point:

"Hey, Enzo. What's processing?"

"Bob!" Can't really pounce when Bob's already approached him, but Enzo at least leaps off his stool to give him a forceful hug. "Guess what happened yesterday I don't believe it this is the most alphanumeric thing ever to happen to me ever..."

"Woah!" Well, he does have to stagger back a couple of steps to keep his balance, that's something. "What happened?"

"Dani likes me!" he almost squeaks. "I have a girlfriend!"

Blink.

Blink.

"Dani?? As in Dani Phantom?"

[a1enzo]

"Uh-huh..." he says dreamily.

"...when did this happen?" asks Bob, after a few seconds of fishmouthing.

[a1enzo]

"Yesterday evening. What's good to do on a date?"

"B--you--uh, dinner and a movie is usually--"

[a1enzo]

"Yeah, I thought so. That's cool, we already like doing that." And now they can cuddle while watching!

"Okay. That's... um... seriously, you and Dani??"

[a1enzo]

"Uh-huh!" Bob's scepticism just manages to penetrate Enzo's happy fog. "What?"

It's not skepticism so much as general confusion.

"What brought this on?"

[a1enzo]

...er. Enzo never told Bob about the Alvey business back when that happened, and he'd really rather not say now.

He takes refuge in honesty, if understatement:

"It's kind of embarrassing."

"Oh?"

[a1enzo]

"Yeah." More will not be forthcoming.

Change of subject. "We found out something weird, too!"
