Carlotta looks very much on the boil as she enters. She pauses briefly to take a slightly melted chocolate bar out of her pocket, and puts it on the bar with a note tied to it.

Sorry I played too rough. Even if you weren't actually hurt, it was mean, and I should have been more careful. Awfully sorry. I used to live in a circus, and we played rough there.

With conscience clean on that at least, she continues outside, makes a strangled noise of frustration with the world in general and scrambles up a tree.

She makes a couple of flying leaps between branches, swinging like a monkey in places, and then pauses to dangle upside down from one.
