It's been a long time. Even if it hasn't been all that long, to Ryoko it feels like a lifetime. She's walking with her nose in one of the three books she's carrying, and it takes tripping over a chair to make her look up.
Startled, she looks around, taking off her reading glasses. 'Mixed feelings' only just covers her expression, but she walks up to the bar, orders a triple-shot latte and finds a table. Ryoko's going to figure out this Subspace: The Endless Frontier book if it takes her the rest of her human life. Luckily, just about every book Washuu wrote has a Dummies guide, and she's got that one too.
Once the caffeine kicks in, Ryoko will be too hopped up to seriously concentrate, so she's botherable.
