in a booth

She sits with a glass of plum wine and a book in braille, quiet and unassuming. The long strands of her lavender hair almost seem to float around her, though, almost alive.

"Good day, Rider." Marsh says, "May I join you - either here or invite you to my world that you might unbind your eyes?"

She turns her head to him.

"I should like to see you again, Marsh."

"Then I would like to take you back there." Marsh says with simple honesty "At your leisure, Rider."

She closes her book and it disappears as she stands.

"I am ready, Marsh. At your leisure."

Marsh laughs, softly, and offers her his arm before heading to the door and opening it so that she may step into his rooms once again. It is night, there, and the mists swirl greedily beyond the windows.

She smiles, ever so faintly, and puts her hand on his arm.

He closes the door on the bar with a click when he feels her arm lose it's solidity - and there is a faint sigh at the resumed proof that he cannot touch her here.

But it does give them the opportunity to see each other and that is worth it.

And Rider unbinds her eyes.

"Do you like my eyes... or that I may see you?"

"Both." Marsh admits, "You have lovely eyes - they suit your skin and hair well. I also like that you need not keep your sight bound, here. It cannot be comfortable having to move without sight. That you like looking at me..." he pauses and then smiles at her, "on a masculine level, it pleases me. On an intellectual one I feel the need to admit that my younger brother is the good looking one."

"Good is relative," she says. "Your features are stronger. Your brother is..."

She says nothing more in that respect, but there is a faint smirk.

"Perhaps I like looking at you."

She doesn't speak of her comfort. She has other senses that make movement simple enough.

"My brother is Kelsier." Marsh says, his smile twisting just a bit. It is the fond smile of an older man who has spent his life watching a beloved younger brother get what he wanted easily and without effort. "If that is so, Rider, I am flattered beyond words."

"I know his name. I only lacked an appropriate descriptive term. Perhaps 'Kelsier' is the only apt term."

She pauses.

"The I suppose you are flattered. But obviously not beyond words."

"They do not match up to the feeling." Marsh assures her, "Kelsier is...charming, shallow, driven, and handsome."

"I have had a master as such," she says quietly. "Yet he lacks that which would engender my hatred. But I hold a preference."

It is obvious that her preference is for the older brother.

"I am glad." Marsh says simply, watching her face. "It is rare for it to be thus, and I would sorrow if you preferred my brother."

"The women of your world are blind, then. Or perhaps should be."
