A dark-haired head peers round the Door, several feet lower than it has done previously.

Or will do some day.

Or both at the same time.

It seems that the youngest son of the Gisborne family has found a suitable hiding place for the afternoon.

Will is quiet and thinking about what he needs for his trip with Kate when he spots the little boy and smiles,

"Lad, where are ye goin'?"

The boy's eyes widen on being addressed.

A small finger points towards a booth, the first place he spots.

"Are ye 'ungry?"

Will's got a plate on chips in front of him that's he's been snacking on and offers the bowl to the lad.

Guy peers up at the chips then shakes his head vigourously.

He's just had lunch and there is the vague notion that he shouldn't spoil his dinner.

"I'm Will, what's yer name, lad?"

He puts the chips back on the table and waits for the boy to speak if he will.

"Guy."

It is a very small answer from a very small boy.

"Won't 'urt ye, Guy. Are ye from England too?"

There is a vigourous nod.

And then Guy dares to ask a question.

"Are you... a giant?"

That just makes Will laugh quite a bit,

"Nay, lad, I'm na a giant, just grown up. Sure in a few years, ye'll be towerin' o'er e'eryone."

Guy's not so sure. His brother and sisters are bigger than him. Most of the children he has seen are bigger than him.

Babies don't count.

And the uncertainty that Will really isn't a giant brings a tiny frown to his face.

Will doesn't like the frown, "Well, I am an outlaw."

Wide eyes suddenly, somehow, spring wider.

Guy freezes, suddenly terrified. All the outlaws he has heard tales of are just as bad as giants.

Only perhaps they don't eat little boys.

Right that's more like the reaction Will gets at home,

"Won't 'urt ye, Guy, ye're safe 'ere."

Still rooted to the spot and frozen in terror, Guy risks another question.

"You're not a giant outlaw?...are you?"

"Nay, I'm na, I'm just a lad from Nottingham."

Reply

"Not been to Nottingham."

He's not been many places really.
