Some time during the afternoon, two completely different people, upon noticing that the bar had been unmanned for quite some time, came to the exact same conclusion and had the exact same solution

Smirking and altogether smug.
"Hey, sparky. Gimme yer fave." Of course, this was directed to his favorite Cajun.

Remy was made of smug just at the moment, mixing quickly and thunking a shot down in front of the other man.

Smug smug smuggety smug.

Pickles? Yeah, he probably knew exactly what it was

After tasting the shot (approximately two seconds after it was downed), he laughed.
"Fuck you, Remy."

He very nearly chortled at that response, shaking his head and pouring Pickles something more substantial, "Y'should know bettern' to say things like t'at mon ami."

"Yeah, I might wind up enjoyin' myself, can't have that." He nodded his thanks.

"It's weird, I was behind the bar myself a couple days ago. It was pretty alright, how y'like th'view up there?" He took a sip of his drink.

He shrugged, scanning the bar proper, "S'nice. Not somethin' I'd want t'do, y'know, reg'larly but s'not bad f'a few hours, jus' keepin' busy."

"Yeah, standin' around doin' practically nothin' just ain't yer style. Mine neither." He took another sip. "Just got back from Europe recently, you ever been to Oslo or Stockholm?"

He shook his head, "Non, France's as far as I went b'fore I found t'end of th'universe."

That wry, wholly amused smile returned, "And didn' need a passport t'get here."

"Bragger. But yeah, you should check 'em out whenever you decide to go an' face the world again. They're pretty nice. Also went to Dublin an' London." He shrugged one shoulder at that, finishing off his drink.

"Wound up meetin' my future lead guitarist fer the first time in reality. That went well."

Now he was curious, because, see, he knew that he and Pickles operated on the same level of 'well' most of the time. Just one of those 'takes one to know one' sort of things.

Which is really just a long-winded version of: SUSPICIOUS REMY IZ SUSPICIOUS!

"Oh? An' just how well are we talkin' here?"

"Oh, pretty well." Pickles said, knowing exactly where Remy's mind went, yet letting onto NOTHING.

"His band is shit." He offered in lieu of details.

There was pouting!

And then, pouring another drink, "T'at goes without sayin' tho, oui? Prob'ly all on crack too."

He knew aaaall about those crazy swedes and their rock music.

Sure he did.

"Oh, man, prolly. Okay fine, I'll dish. But only in so much as yeah, suspicions confirmed, alright?"

He leaned up to ruffle Remy's hair. "Now quit poutin'."

And just like that, the smug came back, "Figgered." He huffed a laugh, shaking his head, "Don' worry you any? Messin' wit' t'timeline like that?"

Not that he had, really, but the potential was still there.

"Tch, nah, prolly woulda happened eventually, an' it ain't like he'll remember. Give me a couple weeks, I prolly won't, either." He shrugged and took a sip of his new drink. "Why, should I?"

He shrugged, "Don' lookit me, I'm th'one who took m'fourteen-year-old would-be wife t'Paris for th'day when she showed up not too long ago."

And he hadn't really worried about it until they'd gotten back.
