Dethklok's manager walked into Milliway's. It was actually a few days his time after his last visit. But something seemed to poke at him to cross over that night. Now. He had a tendency to act on those feelings. They had kept him and the band alive in the past

Toki usually knew not to invade Charles' personal space, but right now, he had about twenty minutes to become frantic and think over things, and become frantic some more.
"You ain'ts hurts thanks de gods." He whined, clinging to Ofdensen like a rather overgrown, fu manchu'd piece of lint.

Toki normally had a lack of.... attention to personal space. But there was something in the way the young man hung on that set off alarms. Not an "Alert! Attackers!" mode, but something had bothered the guitarist.
Only once Ofdensen was certain there was no attack right then did he register what Toki said.
"No, I'm fine. Other than being tired. What is going on?"

"You looks like hell an' you kiss me on de lips an' den you walks away an' I couldn'ts finds you an' den I thinks about goings and findings you at home but I knows dat I'd gets distracted so I waits for you to comes here an' you gots to helps!"

The manager looked around and found a small table was opening up near them. (Amazing how they did that when needed.) He moved the two of them to it and placed an order with the wait rat.

"You comes in from de futures." He started, and his brow furrowed, trying to remember what exactly was said.
"Nat'ans is goings to try an' makes an albums abouts a prophecies an' we gots to gets it perfect-right or something bads will happen. You looks so..." He couldn't put it to words, he didn't know any for English that would fit.
He finally tried to estimate. "You looks like de ends of de world." He flopped down across the table, still sitting in his chair, sighing heavily. "Dis is brutal, I needs more den a drinks. I needs an Atlantean."
He knew that just one of those would put normal people in a stupor, and two made Skwisgaar get the worst hangover he'd ever seen.

A prophesy....*the* prophesy? He thought hard. He knew he had never mentioned what he knew of to the boys. But it wasn't much. He knew there was some Sumerian tablets in the library that one of the band had bid on in some auction but had never done anything with. He would have to have someone come in and translate them. Up to now, it was simply enough that he had kept them from the Tribunal's hands.
"Well, Toki, I'm here now and safe and sound." Charles said in as neutral a voice as possible. "Future self you say? Did he say how much in the future?"

"No? I don'ts thinks so... A whiles, I guess. But you... You says you spends.. You spends a lots of time with me here? And dats... I..."
He looked up, teeth grit. "If dats happens, I ain'ts goings to. I ain'ts goings to lets it. I ain'ts goings to do any albums abouts prophecies or hangs out with you if dats is goings to happens to you in de future."
Beat.
"Don'ts wants nobodies hurt."

The manager reached out and touched Toki's arm. "I think it would be alright to be here and be friendly. I have a feeling you did a lot of good for that other Charles. Maybe because he was able to come here and warn you that we can change that future. Make sure it doesn't happen and we win."
Charles looked into Toki's eyes. "I think if you did the songs right, did them the best you could, it would stop that future from happening.
"I can try to see if I can find out anything about any prophesy. I know a few people who reach ancient civilizations and see what they know. Maybe we can find out what they know and see if we can make sure it will happen the right way."

He chewed his thumbnail and perched in his chair. "If you thinks dat might helps though, feels free to dos it." Toki looked up at Charles. "I... still don'ts feels rights 'bout dis. If I fights it, Skwisgaar will fights it too, an' Miniver will convince Pickle to fights it, an' dat's a three-fifths vote. It's won'ts happen, won'ts even be recordeds."

"Toki, suppose the album is suppose to happen. That it is what is going to help fight the bad guys. The evil forces. Did the other me tell you to not do the album or to do your best, to make sure the music was right and strong and brutal enough to defeat them?"
The guitarist looked very stubborn at the manager's words. He tried one last idea. "Maybe if you don't do the album, the ending gets worse. The evil forces take over without a fight on our sides. The people who are suppose to fight them don't have brutal, strong examples, heros, like Dethklok to help them defeat the villains.
"Maybe Dethklok's brutal metal music is what helps the good guys win. But it has to be played perfectly. And that is what the other Charles was here to tell you. To make sure you and the rest of the band play your best."

He knew that. He'd seen, after being here in the bar regularly for a year, that he was one of the least Good Guys. Showing people the DVDs of their concerts, their looks of disgust, worry, concern, terror...
Outright glee in the case of the demi-lich.
Well, it showed Toki that he knew he wasn't a good guy. "Maybe we's... Maybe we is de evil forces, Charlies." He said that, with no tone of worry in his voice. He'd accepted it. He didn't even mind it. Somewhere down inside, he was rather proud of it.

The manager sighed. "I suppose I really don't want to lose our time here. It's nice to talk to you outside of the band stuff.
"I don't get much down time over in our world. I like the short time we have had here."
He took a deep pull on his drink, letting his sadness show at the lose of Toki's companionship.

His eyes were cast down, though he did see, from the corner of his vision, something he couldn't allow.
"Charlies... If you don'ts thinks it will hurts nothin', an' you still makes new pals in de bar outsides of de band, an' don'ts... you knows... thinks it'll keeps you from makings your own lifes? I will sticks around. I ain'ts gunna says no to dat, because I likes you, you's a goods kinda guy."

"What will happen here will happen. Depending on what we choose. But it will happen."
Charles finished his drink and waved to a wait rat to get another. "Would you like another?
"And what do you say we don't talk about it anymore tonight? Just relax here like we are suppose to."

He dropped it then, and shrugged, "Okay, dat's a good ideas."
And just as easily as ever, Toki's mind switched tracks and he was back to his usual self. However, he wanted to ask a million questions now, all pertaining to Charles' past, before Dethklok, before everything happened and he had no time for himself. "So... whats you dos for fun? I bets you keeps a plants or something."
