Enzo's interested in working some more on that User music Tommy gave him, and those songs would just raise too many questions in his world. Thus, he has once again smuggled the guitar through the student lounge bathroom, into the utility tunnels, and thence to Milliways

Except that he's programmed to pick up on that giggle by now.

"Hi, Dani!"

"Hi, Enzo." Still giggling. "Nice, um, outfit."

Not that she's got any room to talk. When she came downstairs this evening Bar saw fit to dress her in a black and white harlequin's outfit, complete with white-feathered black eyemask. As on Halloween, "going ghost" hadn't made the costume disappear.

"I like yours," he says a bit shyly. He's kind of confused, actually - should an outfit that weird make her look that pretty? There's a certain surreal elegance to it. Enzo's own getup doesn't have elegance of any sort.

Okay, so she could stand to lose the hat.

Is he knocking the hat? He'd better not be knocking the hat.

...okay, maybe she'll take it off.

"Thanks," she says. "What's up with Bar putting costumes on everyone again, anyway? Halloween was a long time ago."

"Mardi Gras. I'm not sure what it is, but she dresses people up for that, too. Remember when I dressed as Matrix, during Daemon? That's how I got the outfit. I was here last Mardi Gras, and that's how she dressed me."

"Really? That's cool."

Dani wonders if Bar would let her keep this costume, not knowing that it would probably give Danny a heart attack.

"Maybe I'll save this one too. It's not something I'd want to wear a lot, but it totally matches my guitar. And the feathers are neat." Things like feathers and fur are very hard to render back home. He looks at Dani's mask curiously - lot of feathers on Mardi Gras, it seems. "Maybe the holiday's something to do with birds."

"Where would you wear it?" she asks. As...flashy as it is, it looks like something he might have rebooted into during a Game.

Dani shrugs. "Maybe."

"Well... me an' Dad were talking about maybe I could start a band... I mean, when I can play more than two songs."

"That sounds fun." Though Dani's still not sure what kind of band wears outfits like, well, that. "Who would you get to be in it, though?"

Rock stars can get away with wearing anything.

"Tone plays the drums, and Caret said he can play theremin. And Val sings. Not sure who else."

"'Theremin?'" Whereamin? Why a duck?

[a1enzo]

"You don't have theremins? It's like a box with two antennae, and you move your hands around 'em, one for amplitude, one for frequency. Dot made me take lessons for a while, but I wouldn't practice."

"If we do, I've never heard of them," she admits.

Poor Dani; her musical education is woefully deficient.

Seriously. Theremins are awesome. Music meets SCIENCE!! She should ask Tucker.
