Carl's at a table, alternately poking around at his laptop and people-watching. He's got something to figure out for a job back home, but the information's playing hard-to-get.
...To be fair, that's a mark in the place's favor, but still.
Anyway, he thought the change in scenery might help a bit. Considering the scenery in question, that may or may not work out, but he figures it never hurts to try.
