Presently, Madolyn's in a booth, and occupying two seats of it. One with her person, the other with a stack of boxes. She still hasn't managed to get Christmas gifts to everyone she's bought them for, as she'd rather give them out by hand. If you've talked with her, there's a 99% chance once of those boxes is for you

Will gives her a smile as he goes to get some dinner after asking Bar for suggestions of what Kate might like and is given something good smelling and rice based to eat.

She smiles back, waving cheerfully.

"Hello, Will."

[will_scarlett]

"'avena seen ye for a bit, 'ow do things go in yer Boston?"

[madolyn_madden]

"They're going fine, thanks. It's cold, though, but I think I've told you that already. How're you?"

[will_scarlett]

"Pretty good, tis trouble in Kate's world but she's doin' better. Been babysittin' Guppy's wee baby sister a bit too."

[madolyn_madden]

"Aww, really?"

She beams.

"How old is she?"

[will_scarlett]

"Just a few weeks, she's lovely, e'en 'as some curly 'air already."

[madolyn_madden]

Her smile only grows.

"That's wonderful. And how were your Christmas and New Year's?"

[will_scarlett]

"Quite good actually, too Kate to Midnight Mass, went an saw a show in 'er world 'fore things got bad."

Also just under his shirt, he's wearing the cross Kate gave him.

She nods a bit, tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ear.

"Do you want to sit down?"

[will_scarlett]

"Oh aye, thank ye. What 'ave ye got in all yer boxes?"

[madolyn_madden]

"These," she says, gesturing at the boxes in a mock proud manner, "are Christmas presents I have yet to give out. I've only still got them because I want to give them out by hand as opposed to by Bar."

[will_scarlett]

"Aye, tis a nice idea, loved bein' able to give folks presents."

He touches the chain around his neck and just beams.

[madolyn_madden]

"It's nicer being able to see their reactions," she says, shrugging a bit.

And glancing at the chain, "I suppose that's one of the things you received this holiday season?"

[will_scarlett]

He pulls it out from underneath his shirt, a silver cross with a lovely stone in it,

"Aye, Kate gave it to me, stone's from New York, gave 'er one carved from Sherwood."

[madolyn_madden]

"It's beautiful," she responds quietly.

Seeing him this happy makes her the same - she remembers how he had been when Molly had gone.
