A change of scenery is in order, Cordelia thinks.

It's a little chilly outdoors in the winter afternoon, but she doesn't plan to be out long -- just a brisk walk to the greenhouse, and back afterwards.

Surely Cordelia wishes to walk in the gardens. The gardens, with their sleeping beds of bulbs, the frozen fake river thing, the elegant stone statue in the center... how can she resist?

Well, the gardens aren't far from the greenhouse. Practically on the way.

It really isn't the greatest weather for lingering long outdoors, though. And Cordelia's neglected to wear anything heavier than her Vor-matron bolero jacket.

But it's so pretty out here at night, with the moonlight reflecting off the snowbanks, and causing the icicles to sparkle.

It also catches prettily on that statue a few feet behind you, Cordelia. Didn't you see it when you passed by?

Crunch crunch crunch.

Pause.

Cordelia's buskins stop on the graveled path as she glances back over her shoulder.
