Bran approaches the bard. "Good evening to you," he says cheerfully enough. "Tegid Tathal, is it not, the Penderwydd?"

Tegid started, had he been asleep? Indeed he had.

"Excuse me, brother" he said quickly, "I recognize your voice, Bran Davis? How do you fair?" Tegid's blindfold had slipped a little.

"Well enough," answers Bran. "Not the best of winters, this one, but it could be worse. And you, how have you been?"

"I can't leave," said Tegid, "not at the moment. And I seek aid, water, supplies, and anyone who can fight."

Tegid understood about choices, and fate, and he fell silent for a while.

"Is it prudent of me to seek help from these Other Worlds, Bran Davis?" asked Tegid suddenly.

"You mean the other worlds that touch on Milliways?" Bran wrinkles his forehead in thought. "A good question, that, and one without an easy answer. And then of course many here have responsibilities elsewhere, and if they come to your world they may risk their other duties."

"This is true," agreed Tegid, "I think if we faught this battle on our own, things may turn out better."

He held his head in his hands.
"Of course, we could all be tragically killed and Albion will be destroyed," he said, "But at least we will not give up without a fight!"
