Nathan was at the bar again with a scotch in hand. Not much else to do really. He thought he might have woke up briefly. But only to be told by his mother that Peter was missing, while he finally got a good look in the mirror at what the explosion had left him as. He didn't remember passing out, but he was back here again so it must be so. Nothing

"Heya Nathan." Bill grinned, sliding into a stool beside Nathan at the bar and ordering a beer. "How's it goin?"

"I've had better days. Hey Bill," Nathan simply said with another drink of his scotch.

Bill frowns slightly when he hears that, taking a seat at the bar beside Nathan. "What's up man?"

"Just a hell of lot has happened. Still not sure when and if I'm seeing the door again, even though, still alive at the moment."

[wheelsy_sheriff]

"Well alive is good." Bill tries to cheer his friend. "Here look, gotcha a present."

He hands over a wrapped gift.

Nathan shrugged at that, "Not sure. Don't know where my brother is. Haven't seen him since the explosion."

He then unwrapped the gift, and there was a weak chuckle at that, "Thanks. Might have to wait some before I can get your gift." He pointed out his name on the board which had a substantial tab listed now.

"Probably should start looking for work around here. Last time I entered here, I didn't have anything in pockets. Not even my wallet, and it was on me before."

Mainly because that and his other belongings were back with his body in New York.

"Don't worry about it." Bill says about him getting a gift.

"Hey, you need help with anything just let me know." He offers, looking at the board and back at Nathan.

"I'll keep an eye out for your brother too. Case he comes in."

"Thanks. Least on the looking for Peter part. I think I'm beyond anybody's help right now. ...Anybody," Slight scoffing at that, "Kind of funny to say that, don't have any."

"Yeah...I still don't get how that works. Have you tried goin to anyone else's world? Or would that be a bad thing?"

"I haven't, and right now, might be a bad idea to try it. Might kill me."

Then again, he's not sure if that's completely a dealbreaker at this point. He expected to die, he was going to sacrifice himself for his brother.

Just things didn't completely work out that way.

"Yeah, let's not try that then." Bill decides.

"So, what are you lookin for by way of work? I know a couple people on staff, could maybe ask if there's any opening for ya."

Nathan considered, "I guess either Security or help behind the bar." Be too tempting to consider signing on with Lilly's brothel and nightclub even if he knew he could.

"Alright then, I'll see about talkin to the folks I know see what's available. I know two people on security an could be I could talk to Mal I guess about the bartending thing."

Nathan nodded, "Yeah, think I met Mal once, and spoken to a Monk on security one time. This speechwriter and John Adams got into a fight once. Yes, eventual President John Adams and one of the Founding Fathers, that one."

"I've only talked to Mal a few times." It's really weird, not only the looking alike but that Bill was dating his ex-girlfriend too.

"I think though that he'd be better to talk to then the other guy that me an Luz held up for beer and chocolate..." And that's not something Bill is supposed to mention so...

"President? Really, fightin at the end of the universe. He's one of those old old President guys right?" Because aside from the ones on Rushmore Bill is like most other Americans and couldn't name the Presidents to save his life.
