Parker is bleeding through the bandage on his arm and starts to say, "Jack, do we have any more...?"

Frowning, he looks around. Bar. Not Italy. Med supplies?

"Hey, can I have some more bandages?"

The bandages, when they appear, are snatched up easily enough - her fingers are pale and soft and know rather well how to do this, the motion itself is familiar.

"Hello," she murmurs, eyes up underneath her lashes and smiling softly. "Nothing is too terribly wrong, I hope?"

Short and slightly fussy is rather par for course, really.

Parker pulls off the current bandage revealing a rough cut.

"Nah. Jack's not too pissed so it can't be too bad."

[ooc: sorry was called away for longer than I thought.]

"That is a good enough standard, I am thinking."

A bright laugh, up on her toes to press a kiss to his cheek and then back down again to continue fluttering and fixing - gently, all butterfly touches and careful fingers.

The grin crinkles the corners of her eyes, "And I do not particularly mind taking care of you a little."

(OOC: No problem! I was dragged off myself for a bit.)

"Well, as long as you don't mind."

Parker nods, and leans a little into her touch.

"It makes me feel useful," she chirps - far more bright-edged than she's been in a long time - still smiling widely. "As I am rather terribly fond of you, and you seem to need a nursemaid every once and a while."

Her skin thrums a little as it skitters around the bandaging, quietly pleasant.

"Miss you," Parker says. "You should come by more often. Sometimes I think Jack needs someone he knows around."

"Could I?" her chin ducks a bit reflexively and she feels almost silly for asking immediately after she's done it. "I mean, I would - of course, I would - love to."

One more quick tug and a light twist to finish, but her fingers stay in place.

"I did not really wish to impose or anything. I just -" a sheepish laugh. "Oh, I miss you both too. Which makes me rather ridiculous for not just showing up, I suppose."

"We'd love to have you," Parker shakes his head.

"Sometimes..."

He looks distant for a second.

"He loves me, you know? I think sometimes he forgets what it was like here, though."

"It was good here," she agrees quietly, shifting closer. It's an advantage, she thinks, of being small - you fit places. "For all that it was messy sometimes."

It's a balance.

"I do think that I would be awfully empty without it - without you."

"We were different people."

Parker shakes his head. "I was a different person."

He glances around, all the patrons, the waitrats.

"Anyway."

"All things change - it is not such a bad thing, really."

Even terribly old things learn how.

"We will not worry too much," she murmurs and a slow smile makes its way back across her lips. "I missed you and here you are and we will not worry - I will just be grateful, snatch your arm, and make everyone else terribly jealous of me."

"I think that they'd be jealous of me with someone like you on my arm."

He leans over and presses a kiss into her temple.

Her cheeks brighten, but she manages to keep her chin tilted up. She's getting better at all of this, she really is.

"Then in the same place we are terribly dangerous, I would imagine."

"We're dangerous people," Parker says.

"I bet we can handle it."

"Just so long as there is not brawling - or jousting in the name of someones honor," she concedes, teeth catching a laugh. "It is against the rules."

And breaking rules, while likely dangerous, isn't really very enjoyable when you get locked up.

Boxes are no fun.

"Rules are for people who made them."

Parker shakes his head suddenly.

"We could go somewhere else," Parker says. "But I just got here."
