 Amanda is gazing out in the distance of the observation window. The holiday here has come to an end and now she is relaxing with a cup of tea. Not sure what to be thinking about.

She would be most pleased to be bothered.

Lucy is fully recovered from the henchmen's Christmas party, but mentally she's not up to much work. So she's picking up a cup of coffee from the bar before looking for an open seat. The Window is the best view in the place, so that's where she's headed.

"May I join you?"

Amanda looks up, "Absolutely." she smiles, "I am Amanda." she offers the other woman.

"Lucy. Lucy Diamond, nice to meet you." She sits with a smile. "How was your holiday, if you celebrated one?"

"The holiday was nice. My first Christmas." she smiles, "How about you?"

[diamond_badgirl]

"Not bad. I just like holidays for the parties anyway." Lucy laughs at herself.

[immortal_now]

"I seem to like these kind of holidays."

[diamond_badgirl]

"May I ask where or when you're from, if this is your first Christmas?"

[immortal_now]

"I am from France. About 849. If you are from Earth then you are probably from my future."

[diamond_badgirl]

Lucy's quite surprised. "Wow, yeah, by quite a bit. I'm from Earth in 2001."

Amanda nods, "Where?" she doesn't think this one is from Tokyo, maybe the United States like so many or England. She wonders if she will ever meet anyone from France.

[diamond_badgirl]

"Born in the U.S. but I've lived all over. I spent a couple of years in France when I was younger. People in my family's line of work tend to move a lot."

"What does your family do?"

[diamond_badgirl]

"Gun running, smuggling, general thievery." Lucy sips her coffee. "Well, they did. I'm the only one left, so I run things now."

"They were busy then." pondering something but keeps it to herself after all she just met this woman.

[diamond_badgirl]

"The business plus the feud with the Schaffer family was too much." She shrugs. "I avoid conflict like that; makes a life of crime much easier."

She gestures at Amanda with her coffee cup. "And what do you do?"

"Yes, conflict only brings attention to what you are doing."

"Me? Oh I..." waving the coffee off (not accepting free anything is probably a good indication that something is up with her, if Lucy knew her better)she looks back at the universe ending, "I am learning and trying to figure out what I will do with myself."
