 Amanda is gazing out in the distance of the observation window. The holiday here has come to an end and now she is relaxing with a cup of tea. Not sure what to be thinking about.

She would be most pleased to be bothered.

And a familiar face is heading her way, to greet Amanda with a kiss and a bright smile. "Hello, Amanda. Did you receive my gift?"

"Ryu!" she turns and returns with a longer deeper kiss. Then she looks confused, "What gift?" she never expected to receive any gifts.

"Must be with bar still." He chuckles, asking a waitrat to bring it over. "How are you?"

"I am fabulous." it's a word she just learned from a book she is reading. "How are you?" only she stops and rummages in her bag before handing him a black knitted sweater. "Merry Christmas, sorry it isn't wrapped. I only just learned about that."

"Do not worry." He accepts the sweater, kissing Amanda again. "I am very glad you are well, Amanda..."

"What have you been doing with yourself?"

[falconryu]

"Hmm, a lot of work, a bit of fun, and some illegal activities that were both work and fun." He accepts the box the waitrat brings back, and offers it to Amanda.

She sits up straight, "What is this?" she accepts the box examining the outside, making sure there weren't any traps. She fell for pranks when she was a child and has been overly causious ever since.

"Your Christmas gift..." Ryu tilts head, a bit puzzled...

Really Amanda does expect Ryu to be handing her a prank box, instead of a real gift? Its is a light giff box, wrapepd and tied with a bow.

She looks up with a smile, "Really? Thank you." she tears the wrapping off, a little impatient.

Ryu just watches, smiling lihtly; Amanda will find a set of matching jewelery, necklace, bracelets and earrings, in silver decorated with aquamarines. It is not royal jewelery, but is noble jewelery, something to wear sparkling with a white kimono.

Or any other light-colored clothing, really.

"Ryu..." she picks up each piece reverantly, "These are beautiful." it's Amanda, she would never turn down shiny.

"I hoped you would like them." Ryu smiles, kissing her cheek and slipping an arm around Amanda's waist.

Amanda slides a little closer to him (as there wasn't much distance between them to begin with).

"I love them." she puts them on, they somehow don't clash with the jeans and shirt she is wearing. Amanda leans in and gives him a kiss.

"Is your world still safe?" she worries a little.

"Yes, nothing too big happening, just the normal day-to-day problems." He is glad someone cares. His return kiss is deeper and longer, holding the woman to him.

Amanda doesn't rush the kiss, calmly enjoying it. "Hmm" she has a warm smile on her face.

With a quickl glance around, "What do you know of motion detectors and laser....somethings" she can't recall the other word off the top of her head.
