(no subject)
I had passed through the seven levels of the Candy Cane forest, through the sea of swirly twirly gum drops, and then, I walked through the Lincoln Tunnel.
(There was an angry raccoon along the way. Poor fella. Probably never had a hug before.)
When I looked up, there it was: the Empire State Building shooting up like a gigantic icicle in the sky. I had finally arrived. I was going to find my dad! But first, there was an entire city to explore, full of things I had never seen and people I had never met. I walked past a place that sold the world's best coffee! I found a wall full of gum! I met two men who were handing out paper. They kind of got mean and took my papers from me. I found a door that went in circles like a merry-go-round. It made me sick, but I went for a ride twice.
But I hadn't walked all the way to New York City just to have fun! I approached the Empire State Building, feeling happier the closer I came to it. Suddenly I was there, opening the door and stepping through, and--
"Wow!" I said, looking all around the crowded room I had just stepped into. "It's a lot smaller on the inside!"
